V Magazine starts the new year with this “Curves Ahead” series of plus size models shot by Solve Sundsbo for their January edition. Curves are back in this interesting and powerful statement for the start of the new decade, showing us that fashion does not always have to revolve around the slim mannequin models and that beauty comes in all shapes and sizes.

I’ve always been a fan of fuller-figured models.
They’re all gorgeous.
Simply beautifull!
I never understand the backlash against skinny models. The whole reason why they are supermodels is because they’re a rarity. Don’t get me wrong its awful when girls try to make themselves supermodels by dieting and etc. but that shouldn’t be solely the blame of the models and the industry…
Surely glorifying obese models is just as bad as glorifying skinny models?
Beautiful.
I don’t really consider it a backlash towards skinny models, i think it is just to challenge the ideal of beauty. It’s been seen before, but it is always interesting to see something out of the conventional stuff. Also, it wouldn’t really go as far as saying these are “obese” models rudyard, sure curvy and full, and maybe just a bit closer to a reality which people can relate too.
